George Papadopoulos is an attorney at law, legal advisor at the Ministry of Administrative Reform and E-Governance and Gen. Secretary at the Hellenic Startup Association. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law from the University of Athens. He was class valedictorian at both. After completing his studies in Athens, George pursued further postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge (UK), where he obtained a master’s degree in commercial law. He received the Award of Excellence from University of Athens, and scholarships from the Cambridge European Trust, the Lilian Voudouris Foundation and the State Scholarship Foundation.

George has published a book on the “Kallikrates” administrative reform in 2010 and was a co-writer of the Civil Code commentary (ed. Prof. I. Karakostas). In parallel, he has had a significant presence in the legal press and in legal and entrepreneurship conferences.

He has been invited as a guest lecturer at the Entrepreneurship seminar of the University of Pireus, at the Department of Media and Communication (Univ. of Athens), and the Civil Law LL.M. Programme (Univ. of Athens).

He previously held the positions of legal advisor at Ministry of Education and legal counsel at JADE Hellas (the Hellenic affiliate of the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises). In 2010, he took part in the Ministry of Regional Development and Competitiveness’ Working Group on institutional reform in Greece.
